Intro Chinese Language and Culture
This course is carefully planned to introduce how to speak, read, and type Chinese
at a basic level. Focuses on the Mandarin Chinese Pinyin Romanization system as a
tool for learning Chinese and solving pronunciation problems as well as using simplified
Chinese characters. It is an introductory course designed for people who have little
or no knowledge of the Chinese language. Aspects of the Chinese culture are also incorporated
in this entry-level class.
Materials are included and will be shared by the instructor through Google Classroom.

Liane Aanderaa
|
Ms. Liane Aanderaa is a native of Beijing, China. She received her B.A. in arts and education from Beijing Normal University, one of the most prestigious teacher training universities in China. In 1990 Liane moved to Oslo, Norway. There, she earned her B.S. in Economics and Business Administration from Oslo University College. She taught the Chinese language and culture in both groups and private settings in Norway. Since moving to Santa Maria in 2011 Liane has been teaching Chinese language and culture classes in a variety of settings including Allan Hancock College and Orcutt Academy High School in Santa Maria, 51±¬ÁÏ in San Luis Obispo. She is also teaching classes at Luis OASIS Senior Center in Santa Maria as well as teaching private students. |
