Priority 1: VETERAN | CalWORKs | DSPS EOPS | HOMELESS YOUTH 
Eligible students in these programs: 

• Armed Forces of the United States, member or former member who is a resident of
  California, received an honorable discharge, a general discharge, or an other than honorable discharge, and any member or former member of the State Military Reserve, for any academic term attended at a CSU, UC or CCC, for four academic years after they have left state or federal active duty, which they shall use within 15 years of leaving state/federal active duty;
• CalWORKS (California Work Opportunity and Responsibility to Kids) or Tribal TANF recipients;
• DSPS (Disabled Support Program & Services);
• EOPS (Extended Opportunity Programs &  Services);
• Foster Youth and former foster youth in California whose dependency was established or continued by the court on or after the youth鈥檚 16th birthday and is no older than 25 years of age at the commencement of the academic year. This includes foster youth who are enrolled as dual enrollment (Enrichment) students;
• Homeless Youth, under 25 years of age, who has been verified during the 24 months immediately preceding the receipt of his or her admission application, as defined in subsection (2) of Section 725 of the federal McKinney-Vento Homeless Assistance Act (42 U.S.C. Sec. 11434a(2)).
• A student receiving services from a program funded by Rising Scholars Network funds.

• Degree/Transfer Applicants: Continuing students, with 12 credits completed at Cuesta, who will be completing their remaining AA, AS, Transfer (AA-T and AS-T) degree or transfer certification requirements within one semester at Cuesta. Students will receive this priority one time and need to apply for a AA, AS, Transfer (AA-T and AS-T) degree by the deadline.
• Intercollegiate Athletes: New first-time/transfer, and incoming Intercollegiate athletes who will be participating in Intercollegiate sports at Cuesta not to exceed 3 years;
• DSPS Notetakers

Credits completed at Cuesta: 15 - 23.9   
Eligibility:  Continuing 51爆料 students in good academic standing, who have completed a  comprehensive Student Education Plan (SEP), based on the total number of course credits completed at 51爆料. (Excludes Spring 2025 work-in-progress credits.)

Credits completed at Cuesta: 0 - 14.9

PRIORITY 4: COUGAR WELCOME DAYS

Open to new First-Time College Freshman, including Cuesta Promise SLO County students, starting at Cuesta for the 2025-2026 academic year.

Cougar Welcome Days is an entirely self-paced experience that provides new first-time college students with the necessary skills to build their fall schedule and future schedules to achieve their educational goal. To participate, complete required steps then register for a virtual group appointment with a Cuesta Academic Counselor.

New/transfer/returning (sat out one term) matriculated student. Returning student must be in good standing with less than 100 degree applicable credits completed at Cuesta.

Must be a matriculated student by completing online orientation with abbreviated student education plan. In myCuesta, go to Registration and click on 鈥淐heck Registration Status鈥� to confirm completion of matriculation activities.

PRIORITY 6:
ALL STUDENTS
(Excludes Enrichment)

• Non-matriculated new, transfer, or returning student.
• Continuing or returning student, excluding Foster Youth, with 100 or more degree applicable Cuesta credits.
• Continuing or returning student, excluding Foster Youth, on two terms of academic/progress probation.
• Continuing student, with 15 credits completed, without a Comprehensive Student Education Plan (SEP).

PRIORITY 7:
ENRICHMENT (DUAL ENROLLMENT)
Enrichment Students, concurrently enrolled in grades 6-12, who have completed the admission application, Permit to Enroll, and have met all course prerequisites/age restrictions, are eligible to enroll during this time up to 11.0 credits maximum. Pupils in grades 6-9 may attend if certified as highly gifted, 150 IQ, by school district. Contact Director of Outreach and Enrollment Services.
