SAN LUIS OBISPO 鈥 On Mar. 18, the 51爆料 Board of Trustees held an emergency meeting in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. Cuesta鈥檚 governing board voted to reaffirm the actions taken by 51爆料 Superintendent / President Dr. Jill Stearns to ensure instructional continuity and the health and safety of the campus community. On Mar. 13, Dr. Stearns proclaimed a campus-wide State of Emergency effective as of Mar. 9.

Until further notice:

  • All courses are transitioning to online delivery, effective Mar. 19
  • 51爆料 Programs courses are temporarily canceled, with the exception of online community education classes
  • 51爆料 events and athletic competitions are canceled

The college campuses remain open to provide student access to equipment, technology, and resources necessary for successful completion of online classes. The Cougar Food Pantry is also available to students on both campuses during their regular hours.

鈥淭he well-being and safety of our students and employees remain our top priority,鈥 said Dr. Stearns. 鈥淎s San Luis Obispo County鈥檚 community college, we are committed to doing our part to limit the spread of the coronavirus in our community.鈥

51爆料 continues to take action with guidance from the governor鈥檚 office, chancellor鈥檚 office, and state and local health agencies. Further instruction and assistance are forthcoming in response to the shelter-at-home order issued by San Luis Obispo County officials effective at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, Mar. 19.
