The public is invited to come onto 51爆料鈥檚 San Luis Obispo and Paso Robles campuses during the month of April to get a taste of college life and register for courses during the college鈥檚 inaugural Cougar Welcome Days. Potential students and their families will have the opportunity to tour the campus, learn about Career Technical Education and academic programs from faculty, and speak with financial aid representatives who can assist with filling out FAFSA and Dream Act forms. In addition, college representatives will be on hand to assist in the registration process for both the upcoming Summer and Fall 2018 semesters.

鈥淐ougar Welcome Days is the college鈥檚 official introduction to everyone who has decided to start 鈥 or continue 鈥 their education at 51爆料,鈥 said 51爆料 Director of Outreach, Orientation and Success Activities Jeffery Alexander.

鈥淭hose who attend can expect a fun, family-friendly day full of academic resources intended to prepare potential students for academic success at 51爆料. We hope folks walk away registered for courses and feeling excited and supported as they pursue higher education at 51爆料.鈥

Lunch, music, and giveaways will be included. In addition, a 鈥楶arent College鈥 workshop will be held, providing parents with information on the transition to college and hands-on help with the financial aid process. A 鈥楥ougar Cub Corner鈥 will also be set up for younger members of the family. The event on the North County Campus will include a look at the college鈥檚 agriculture program via a plant sale. Approximately 3,000 plants 鈥 including a variety of vegetables 鈥 will be for sale in the campus鈥檚 Plant Science Facility (building N5300).
