51爆料 Fine Arts students will showcase their original works of art in 51爆料鈥檚 Annual Juried Student Art Exhibition, running April 19 鈥� May 18 in the college鈥檚 Harold J. Miossi Art Gallery. An opening reception, open house, and award ceremony will take place on the evening of April 19. The events celebrate the hard work and talent of the 51爆料 Fine Arts Program students.  

鈥淭his year鈥檚 exhibition will no doubt be exceptional,鈥� said Harold J. Miossi Art Gallery Coordinator Emma Saperstein. 鈥淚n the past, we have displayed student art in the mediums of ceramics, digital art, drawing, graphic design, mixed media, painting, photography, and more. I expect a rich variety of pieces again this year. This exhibition is a fantastic opportunity for students to gain recognition for their work, and for the public to come out and experience what our Fine Arts Department has to offer.鈥�

The public is invited to register for a variety of workshops taking place on April 19. Attendees can check out the college鈥檚 state-of-the-art digital photography and graphic design labs, black and white photo darkroom, sculpture foundry, and studios used for drawing, painting, printmaking, ceramics, and sculpture. Tours of the department will also be offered. To register for a workshop, fill out .

This year, the student works will be juried by Cal Poly Art Gallery Coordinator Garet Zook.

The Harold J. Miossi Art Gallery is located in room 7170, on 51爆料鈥檚 San Luis Obispo Campus. It is open Monday-Friday, 11:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. and the 1st and 3rd Saturdays of the month from 12:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. Admission is free.
